Innovations Created During the Flood

As you know the flooding in Thailand has been ongoing since the end of July. It is yet the worst flooding in 50 years. The amount of water was unexpectable, and it's hard to predict how much water will come. Now that the water has arrived, and it has flooded, us, humans, will need to start adapting to the environment until the flood is over. As long as we don't give up and stay strong, we will fight through this flood disaster

To make life easier for people who have been affected by the flood, many people have innovated products that are useful for flooding conditions. One of the creations was a floating toilet made by Cotto. Not only people can safely dump their waste safely, the toilet will treat the waste with microorganisms before its' dumped. I think it's a very useful and creative product made. Humans have to eat, and dump after, so having a floating toilet will make the environment much cleaner and better to live in.

  1. Charlie, This is Ms. Katharine responding. Ms. Torie invited me to read your class's blog entries on the floods.

First, thank you for explaining the floating toilet! (despite the pun about dumping after eating...ahem! haha) I've read several blogs in which students mentioned the toilet but didn't explain it.

In fact, your blog post is very clear, well-organized and refreshing in its practical tone.

You've organized your ideas so that one paragraph leads naturally into the second paragraph.

I'm glad to see optimism in your entry, as well.

  2. Hi Charlie this is Bas, I have chosen to comment on yours. I loved how you are on point , and focused on how the floating toilet will prevent diseases. I also picked the floating toilet , same reasons as you. Safely dump waste ,to prevent diseases.

What about your own innovation ideas that will help the flood crisis? Mine was the fishing rod to detect electricity ,check out my blog for more information about the fishing rod. http://basyu.blogspot.com/2011/11/thai-innovation.html

Looking forward to read more blogs from you.
